Loose Skin & Weight Loss: Avoid Cosmetic Surgery, Here Are My Photos!

Do not fear loose skin after extreme and rapid weight loss! OK, so maybe you’re going to fear it a little bit, but will you really need cosmetic surgery for it? After losing “half my size,” I do not need cosmetic surgery. My skin is in surprisingly decent shape and it is still improving. You’ll find my big skin reveal right in this video.

Many cases of rapid and extreme weight loss (especially with bariatric surgery), need cosmetic surgery to remove excess/loose skin after weight loss. Your skin is like a giant balloon and as that balloon deflates, the skin does not always bounce back. It never bounces back as much as we’d like, but some people are left with “skin curtains” that are not only cosmetically unappealing, but can pose a risk of infection. The excess skin can be so bad that sometimes the surgery is not cosmetic at all, but rather medically necessary to reduce the risk of infections and infection-related complications.

But really, none of us want surgery in the first place, certainly not a class of surgery like skin removal, which tends to be expensive and painful. I suggest you avoid bariatric surgery and the subsequent cosmetic surgeries by trying this shockingly simple and effective approach to weight loss.

My Weight Loss / Loose Skin Backstory

I’m 50 years old and 30 pounds below my lowest weight as an adult (prior to now, obviously). I’ve struggled with my weight my whole life, with low calorie, low fat, many variations of low carb, vegan, macrobiotic, and more. Here I am at 50 years old, half my size, down 140 pounds, with surprisingly little loose skin. You can try this method too, which leverages the benefits of intermittent fasting and the keto diet in a distinct way. To lose 140 pounds (and notably 100 pounds in 8 months), I ate one meal a day in one hour. I ate nothing else in the remaining 23 hours of the day. All that I ate was fresh and simply found. Everything you need is right in your local grocery store or farmers market.

My primary meal type (which I ate about 80% of the time) is likely the biggest factor in my weight loss success and in my skin health. I call that meal “The Ridiculously Big Salad.” It’s not like the salad you are picturing right now. It is far, far bigger. Check out the salad resources on this website (here) and the ebook dedicated to it: The Ridiculously Big Salad.
